June 15, 2009I love my mom. She's always bringing over pieces from her house (our home is full of great hand-me-downs!) or picking up an accent that she thinks I'd like. Although I can't return the favor quite yet (maybe one day, mom), I did spot this bedroom at the Somerset Bay showroom that I thought she'd flip over. Of course the one she has now is quite nice, but this, I think, is right up her alley.
This bed, covered in lush off-white linens, is subtle, yet fabulously chic. And who said you have to place a table between chairs? These 2 fit nicely by one another with a tray table in front to create a lounging area or room for breakfast in the bedroom.
Look up! The carved wood piece over the doorway is an easy way to add even more delicate detail to the space. Another option may be a small shelf to place pictures or collectibles on.
This candleholder is actually from Oly, but would fit in great in this serene setting, or in the adjoining master bath. And I love the idea of lining mirrors of the same size and shape along one wall. It makes the space feel so much larger!
