Surf's Up and Very Stylish

All of a sudden it seems like the Surf Lodge, a little boutique hotel in Montauk, NY, is summoning me for a visit. First I saw it in this month's Coastal Living and just today Design Sponge blogged about designer Robert McKinley's laid-back and fab style. And from these photos I am all about a long weekend way up east.

The fresh, fun look continues from the outside with funky outdoor spaces (Did you know the tree in the photo above is actually an outdoor shower?!) in the calming interior guest rooms (below).

If you're looking for inspiration for your outdoor spaces take a cue from the Surf Lodge and the editors of Coastal Living and recreate this style at home.

I'm loving the ocean-blue painted floors in the restaurant. Suggested color if you want to try this at home: Benjamin Moore's Surf Blue (2056-30). Check out 10 reasons to paint your floors.

Looking to add some thing "spectacular, spectacular" (sorry I recently rewatched Moulin Rouge) to your den: Pick up a similar elephant wicker table from Franswicker.com

The Surf Lodge is definitely calling my name. Let's plan a trip! We should have used those crazy cheap SW tickets and booked our way to NY :)

I love that paint color! I want a room in my house to be that color with tons of white furniture!
