Last night during President Obama's address to the nation concerning Iraq, we learned that the last combat troops were moving out of the country, it's time to focus on domestic issues like the economy, and that the Oval Office got a fab new makeover!! 

I always knew that one day I would be reporting on the White House.

This past weekend on a leisurely stroll through the Pepper Place Farmers' Market in Birmingham, Alabama, I met Brian Green of Brown and Green. Among all the artisans and farmers at the Saturday market, Brown and Green was the booth I remembered most. Casually walking by, I saw their perfectly simple, hand made cutting boards, and I must admit, at first glance, I thought the cutting boards were art, meant to be displayed on the wall!I think Brian was even a little insulted when I asked, "What are these?"
